Amsterdam is one of the largest and culturally diverse cities in Europe with permissive view towards many aspects of life. Formerly, this district was known for being a sailors’ district and a place of entertainment with the numerous bars and pubs at night. The Oude Kerk (Old Church)

The first church in Amsterdam known as the Oude Kerk owns its location in what is today known as the Red Light District. The exterior of this church is a gothic-style, which stands out from the crowded streets and it is a perfect starting point for spiritual cleansing. Do not just pass through this station just take your time to observe the magnificent work of architecture and look at the history behind it.

As you move around the district, you are likely to cross path with some of the street vendors with various merchandise to sell. It is advisable to say NO and walk away since the things they have to offer are most probably of substandard or illegitimate.

Stay Vigilant

In any city where there is so much activity, it is very important to be alert. Remember and be cautious while handling your property as well as be cautious of your environment. The two should avoid places that are believed to be insecure or uncomfortable especially at night.
