Introduction

France is a country which is known for its rich history, beautiful architecture, mouth-watering cuisines, and beautiful landscape. With a lot of attractions and activities, organizing a trip to France is a tasking exercise, especially given the limited time. In this blog post, we will help you on what to see in France in 5 days thus giving you the best within your stay.

Day 1: Paris – The City of Love and Lights

The first day of your stay in France is to be spent discovering the lovely Paris city. After a good breakfast at the hotel, take your time to walk or use taxis to some of the places such as the iconic Eiffel Tower that will offer breath taking views of the city. Then, proceed to the Louvre Museum, some of its world-renowned works of drawings include Mona Lisa. Do not miss the chance to take a walk along the beautiful streets of Montmartre and see one of the most beautiful Basilicas of Europe – Sacré-Cœur.

At night, enjoy a relaxing cruise along the river Seine so as to see the landmarks of the city marvelously illuminated.

Day 2: Provence – Land of Lavender and Wine

On your second day, explore the romantic city of Paris and then leave the city and go to the scenic region of Provence. Visit the lavender fields of Valensole in your morning and enjoy the smell of the country. Go on further to the lovely town of Aix-en-Provence famous for its bustling markets, and boulevards adjoined with beautiful fountains.

After leaving Provence, do not forget to visit a local winery and go on the traditional tasting of wine based on the local wines that are world-famous.

Day 3: French Riviera-the Playground of Rich and Famous

On your third day, move to the glamorous French Riviera. Begin in the vibrant and colorful city of Nice and its amazingly beautiful promenade and beaches. Take a walk in the charming Old Town and see the colorful Cours Saleya Market.

Learn more about the luxurious city of Cannes where world-known film festival was held, and where beaches are always clean. Spend some time sunbathing or go for exploring the beautiful city center.

Day 4: Loire Valley – Châteaux and Gardens

Go to the enchanting Loire Valley on the fourth day. This region is famous for the magnificent châteaux and beautiful gardens. Château de Chambord is a tour de force of renaissance art. Start your day with a visit to this masterpiece.

Then take a look at Château de Chenonceau, which have often been called the “Ladies’ Château” thanks to the influence of the women who left their marks in its history. The perfectly kept gardens around the châteaux should not be missed.

Day 5: Normandy – History and Nature beauty

Your last day in France will see you visiting the historical region of Normandy. Start the day by visiting this famous Mont Saint-Michel, like a medieval abbey on a rock island.

Then, drive to the historic beaches of D-Day, like the Omaha beach and the Utah beach, and pause to remember the events during World War II. End your day at the charming town of Honfleur with its picture-perfect harbor and beautiful half-timbered houses.

Conclusion

As much as it may appear too little for one to see all of France, this itinerary takes the visitors to some of the iconic and outstanding sights in France. Keep this in mind that every region has a lot to offer and therefore you should not miss an opportunity to come back later for a closer look. Bon voyage!
