Exploring the Best of Paris in 4 Days

Paris, France’s capital is a beautiful city with exquisite charm, rich history and unique beauty which can be called non-existent only by the people who have not been there. With all that there is to see and do, it can be difficult for first-time visitors to arrange an agenda. In this guide, we will point some of the best spots and must-see places that can be visited during four days in a Paris. Prepare yourself for a journey that you will never forget!

Day 1: The Iconic Landmarks

Begin your adventure in the very centre of Paris and see the most famous landmarks that make the silhouette of the city. Start with a trip to Eiffel Tower, the tremendous iron structure with great views of the city. Go to the top by the elevator and shoot spectacular photos. Next to them, there are Trocadéro Gardens, a great place for a picnic with a great view of the tower.

From there, go to Arc de Triomphe at the western end of Champs Elysees. Ogle at its splendor and walk down the famous avenue slowing, windows shopping and dining in the cafes. Do not miss to visit the Louvre Museum which is known to house thousands of artworks including Mona Lisa. Spend the afternoon discovering its huge collection or spend the afternoon lazing in the Tuileries Garden.

Day 2: Cultural Delights

Enjoy Parisian culture today by paying a visit to some of the venues of culture in the city. Begin your day with the visit to the Notre-Dame Cathedral, this masterpiece of Gothic architecture. Check out the inside and go up to the top for an outlook of the city. After that, go for a romantic walk along the banks of the river Seine and treat yourself to a French crepe while having it on the street-vendors offer many tasty street-food treats.

Then you can go to the beautiful neighborhood of Montmartre. See this artistic district, full of bohemianism and visit Sacré-Cœur Basilica, which is a must see. Day 3: Palace & Gardens

On the third day, leave the city center and go on an adventure to see the lavish Palace of Versailles. Be in awe of breathtaking gardens that are graced with fountains, sculptures, and 

neatly kept gardens. Visit the palace and live an extravagant life of the French royalty. Visit the 

grand halls, Hall of Mirrors, and the royal apartments.

When back in Paris, make your way to the Musée d’Orsay, in a past railway station. Be amazed at the world’s largest assemblage of Impressionist paintings that include works made by Monet, Renoir, and Van Gogh. Discover this great city at nighttime from a deck of a boat during a cruise along the Seine River while admiring the stunning panorama of the city’s landmarks in the light of evening.

Day 4: Hidden Gems

On the last day spent in Paris, discover some of the hidden gems, which usually remain unnoticed by tourists. Start the tour from the lovely neighborhood of Le Marais. Find out its small medieval streets, do shopping in fashionable boutiques, and taste delicious French cuisine in one of numerous restaurants and cafes.

Then, head towards the Père Lachaise Cemetery, which is the burial ground of great people, including Jim Morrison and Oscar Wilde. Go for a leisurely walk in the tree-lined walk ways and enjoy viewing the beautiful tomb stones and sculptures.

Finally, at the end of your trip, you should visit the Canal Saint-Martin. Take a leisure boat, or simply picnic on the sides of the canal. This buzzing neighborhood is full of avant-garde bars, eateries and local shops.
