London is one of the liveliest cities in the world, but in some moments, one may feel the urge to leave the big city and see the surroundings. Fortunately, there are many stunning places that one can visit around London and are easily accessible by a car ride away. 1. Windsor Castle

Those interested in history will not be disappointed if they decide to visit one of the royal residences – Windsor Castle. 8. Canterbury

9. Greenwich

If you are seeking for an out of town experience, close to London, spend some time in Greenwich. Treat yourself to the magnificent National Maritime Museum and have a pleasant walk in the charming place called Greenwich Park.

10. Stratford-upon-Avon

Explore the William Shakespeare historical site and known his birth place as Stratford-upon-Avon. Visit the Shakespeare’s Birthplace Trust to see the house in which the most renowned bard was born, attend a Shakespeare play at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, and take a leisurely walk along the scenic River Avon.
