What To Expect
This Original Zaragosa Free Walking Tour is designed to get visitors familiar with all of the key locations in the lovely city of Zaragoza and those mentioned in the novel by Canarian writer Benito Pérez Galdós. The journey begins at the Puerta del Carmen, particularly at Calle Hernández Cortés 1, next to Frutos Secos El Edén.
Afterwards we will visit the popular Plaza del Portillo and walk through San Pablo to see the beautiful church. A journey through the bullring will bring us to the Plaza Espaa, where we will relish the site of an interesting monument, cherished by the locals.
Our next stop will be the Plaza Santa Engracia, where the existence of a crumbled convent will be revealed and its story told. From here, we will visit the Plaza de Los Sitio, at this point the enthralling story of the monument and its significance to the city will be told. A journey through the Bullring once again, will take us to Plaza San Miguel, and this is where the route will come to a glorious end.
During the tour, graphic material will be distributed to help explain the no longer existing elements of the early nineteenth century Zaragoza, allowing you to better immerse themselves in its history.
