Day 1 Transfer from Kampala to Fort Portal, Sightseeing on the way
Thanks for choosing our Uganda cultural trip! In the morning, your driver guide will pick you up from the hotel in Kampala and then drive to Fort Portal for about 5 hours (300 km). Along the way, you can enjoy the mountains in Mubende, the beautiful villages along the road and so on. On halfway, we will stop and visit Nakayima Tree, which is named after the wife of Muchwezi Ruler, Nakayima. It is one of the strongest and oldest trees in the world.

After that, we will continue to drive about 2 hours to the Fort Portal. After arriving at the Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru Caves, enjoy your lunch. Next, we will begin a hike trip around Fort Portal Crater Lake Field and you will trek through some challenging slopes on Kyeganyawa Hill. When the sky is clear, standing on the top of Kyeganyawa Hill will have a good view of Rwenzori Mountain. Later, we will head to Fort Portal, our final destination.

Day 2 Full day tour in Fort Portal
Today, we plan to have a full day tour in the Fort Portal. After breakfast, we will visit Royal Palace to overlook Fort Portal town in the shadow of the Mountain of the moon. Next, we will visit Karambi Royal tombs, where you can see the famous King Kaboyo’s tomb. In the afternoon, you will attend the Batooro name-giving ceremony.  Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 3 Transfer from Fort Portal to Nshenyi Cultural Village (235km, 4hs)
On the third day of Uganda cultural tours, we will drive from Fort Portal to Nshenyi Cultural Village in Ntungamo district. You can admire the charming countryside views on the way. Before arriving in Ntungamo, we will stopover to visit locals’houses in Mbarara. Nshenyi Cultural Village is about 1-hour away from Mbarara and 30-minute away from Ntungamo by car. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 4 Learn about Banyankole Culture in Nshenyi Village
Today, we will have a full day of Uganda holiday packages to explore the Banyankole culture in the Nshenyi village. You will milk Ankole cows, learn how to raise cows, brush cows, learn to sing traditional songs and try musical instruments such as flutes. Have a traditional cuisine at noon. If you are interested, you can also join the process of making lunch with locals. After that, you can take a craft class, or stroll around the community to know about the way the locals live.Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 5 Head for Mgahinga National Park (150km, 3hs)
After breakfast, we will head to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, passing by the Kigezi Plateau, known as “the Switzerland in Africa”, and the beautiful road Kabale-Kisoro. Then arrive at Virunga Volcanoes. After checking in the hotel, you can relax in the rest in the afternoon.Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 6 Spending full day to explore the Batwa culture
Today’s Batwa culture heritage tour of Uganda holiday packages will start after breakfast. Firstly, after a brief meeting at Ntebeko, headquarter of Mgahinga National Park, you will follow a Batwa guide to the forest to look for those great cultural heritages along the Batwa Trail.

Before arriving at the gathering area, Garama Cave, you will learn about wild nectar gathering, hunting methods, and know some edible roots and plants. The chief of the Batwa lived here before, and the women will welcome you warmly and sing the old songs to welcome you. The culture heritage tour will last about 6-7 hours to help you fully understand and explore the dying culture of the Batwa.Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 7 Transfer back to Kampala with a stopover
We plan to drive back to Kampala for 11 hours (520 km). On the way, we will stop at 1520AD eclipse monument to overlook Lgongo Culture Center in the distance and explore its attached cultural meaning. In the evening, we will arrive at Kampala.Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 8 Kampala city tour, Airport see-off
Today, we are going to visit some cultural relics in Kampala. You can visit Tombs of Buganda Kings at Kasubi. It is the tomb of the King Buganda Dynasty, which contains the last four Kings of Buganda and is regarded as a sacred place for Ugandans. The greatest significance lies in its spiritual value and belief value. Next, we are going to visit Lubiri Palace, the Bulange Parliament, Kabaka’s Lake, and the Uganda Museum.

Afterwards, we will wander around the local crafts market and you can buy some souvenirs for your family. Finally, we will send you to Entebbe International Airport to take the flight. Wish you a nice journey! Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
