1. World-Class Museums

3. Beautiful Parks

Madrid is famous for being an open-air city with plenty of green areas, where its inhabitants can flee from the noise of city life. You must visit the iconic Retiro Park, within the heart of Madrid. By its stunning lake, imposing monuments and immaculate gardens you’ll be able to relax and enjoy a picnic. Other big parks are the Casa de Campo a big park with a zoo and an amusement park and the Sabatini Gardens adjacent to the Royal Palace.

Madrid is when it truly gets going. The city is well known for its nightlife with many and varied options for enertainment. 7. Athletic Excellence

8. Festivals and Celebrations

Madrid is, of course, associated as one of the cities of festivals and parties in the world with events happening all year round. One of the most well known is San Isidro Festival, in May honouring Madrid’s patron saint with music, dancing and traditional dress. Another major event is Madrid Pride, one of Europe’s biggest LGBTQ+ events which brings in hundreds and thousands of visitors every summer.
