What to Do in Dublin for 3 Days

Greetings to Dublin, the capital of the Republic of Ireland and the seat of power of the Irish government! If one is interested in history, nature, lively pubs and traditional music, it is impossible to get bored in Dublin. In this guide, the focus is to show you what you should do in order to have the best time when in this beautiful city in three days.

Day 1: Explore Dublin’s Rich History

Start your day in Dublin right by exploring the place and getting to know the culture of this great city. Your tour begins at Trinity College, which is known as the University of Ireland. Visit its historical building and enjoy the view of the era through the cobblestone courtyard displayed in it.

Guinness Storehouse

Following Trinity College, proceed to visit the highly recommended Book of Kells that is housed in the Trinity College Old Library. This accursed work of art which can be described as an illuminated manuscript perfectly reflects the spirit of the medieval epoch.

Then, proceed to the Dublin Castle that information shows that it used to be the place where the British monarchs lived in Ireland. Visit and tour in the State Apartments that offer residents the pleasant experience of strolling through lush gardens.

Take a walk through Temple Bar which is famous for its street performances, great ambiance and variety of pubs at night. For a traditional experience, try a local drink like a pint of Guinness or do have also Irish dishes.

Your interest in the history of Dublin may not be over, after this, you can proceed to St. Patrick’s Cathedral, which is the largest cathedral in Ireland. Be amazed at the gothic designs and explore the decoration of the inside part.

Dublin also has literary connection and you should not leave Dublin without visiting the James Joyce Centre or Writers Museum. Cliffs of Moher Day Trip

Visit the Howth town situated in the Ireland and then take a hike at the Howth Cliff Path Loop. With scenic coastal east coast view, farms the beautiful coast to watch the fishing boats pull in and out.

If time allows, one should visit Malahide Castle which is almost an hour’s journey north of Dublin. It has stunning gardens and whether you are interested in its history or not, it is interesting to visit.

A perfect destination if you are not very keen on a tiring day trip would be the Cliffs of Moher. These are cliffs situated on the coastal line of Ireland along the Atlantic Ocean which is remarkable magnificent. It is easy to arrange a day trip since they are several tour companies in the Dublin area.

End your day by having an Irish food at any restaurants with a variety of restaurants in Dublin or go out in town at night for clubbing.
