In this article we will talk about the best neighborhoods in Amsterdam for families, for factors such as safety, amenities, good schools and more recreational areas.

The Pijp

The Pijp is a buzzing and bohemian neighborhood lying to the south of central Amsterdam. For it provides a good blend of residential and commercial parts. The neighborhood is extremely family-flooding parks and playgrounds,sadly green spaces, rendering it perfect for children. Sarphatipark offers plenty of fun space for kids and a place to unwind for the families. The location is also lined with numerous shopping venues, eatery and coffee shops to suit all preferences.

Amsterdam Noord

Amsterdam Noord, lying on the other side of the IJ river from the city centre has become a very sought-after location for families. In the neighborhood have a more affordable housing than the center of the city, with plenty of family-friendly apartments and houses. Ijburg

Ijburg is a younger residential neighborhood situated in artificial islands in the East of Amsterdam. Another reason it is popular amongst families is due to its well-developed infrastructure and ample of green spaces. The area offers a peaceful atmosphere, far away from the city center, with a short distance to parks, beaches, as well as the water sports facilities. Ijburg also has a first rate infrastructure of educational facilities, such as international schools, playgrounds, and playrooms for children.

Amstelveen
