Kiel

Kiel is an animated city situated about 90 kilometers north of Hamburg and makes it easy for anyone to take as a day trip or weekend break. As a major maritime hub, Kiel hosts the annual Kiel Week sailing event, attracting sailing enthusiasts from around the world. Discover the picturesque harbour area, visit the Kiel Maritime Museum, take an easy stroll along the water front promenade or last but not least lies on the many sandy beaches in the close by. Try some of the fresh seafood invention at some of the local restaurant.

Bremen

Departing from Hamburg heading southwest for just about 120 kilometers you will discover the nice metropolis of Bremen. The city is well known for its historic architecture, especially the medieval part, including the UNESCO World Heritage monument, the Town Hall and the famous Roland statue. Stroll along the narrow streets of Schnoor, the oldest part of Bremen in picturesque timber-framed-houses. Watch a boat sail along the Weser River or pay a visit to the Bremen Roland – an image of freedom and market rights. Lübeck

Lübeck is situated about 65 kilometers northeast of Hamburg and is a gem nestled with its mostly intact medieval old town. Famous as the “City of Seven Spires” Lübeck has some beautiful Gothic architecture including the Holsten Gate and St. Mary’s Church. Go on a relaxed stroll through the streets of the old town, sample a marzipan from the famous Niederegger café and spend the afternoon at the European Hansemuseum, where you will discover the special links to facultative Hanse cities. Do not miss to taste the local Lübeck speciality marzipan, which is made here for centuries.

Schwerin

If this is actually what you’ve been searching like, search no even more; plan a journey to Schwerin, 100 km western side of Hamburg. The city is surrounded by the breathtaking Schwerin Castle, on an island in Lake Schwerin. Visit the castle’s lavish inside spaces; promenade the flowers of the surrounding yard, and appreciate a serene vessel journey on the water. Beyond, the town has numerous museums, among those the State Museum of Schwerin with regional art and ethnology and cultural artifacts.

Hannover

Head south from Hamburg’s streets of Hamburg for around 92 miles, and you will reach the lively city of Hannover. Gardens and city attractions are among the hallmarks of Hannover. Stroll through Herrenhausen Gardens, visit bustling Old Town with its half-timbered houses and look at New Town Hall. Art lovers should not fail to visit the Sprengel Museum, where a comprehensive collection of modern art is hosted. If you are visiting during the summer time make sure to have a visit to the massive fireworks competition in Herrenhausen Gardens.
