Tossa de Mar

Tossa de Mar, situated around 103 kilometers northeast of Barcelona, is a well known beach resort for people of Catalouya and the tourists. This coast town boasts two beautiful beaches: Platja llege gran i Platja D’es Codolar.

Platja Gran

Platja Gran is Tossa de Mar’s most popular beach, spanning more than 380 meters. Beautiful with its cushion-to-soft sand and tranquil blue h2o, it is no question that this seaside brings in guests from location to region. On the beach, there is an abundance of facilities like beach bars, restaurants and sunbed rentals, so you can enjoy the day out on the beach with ease.

Platja d’es Codolar

If you prefer something a bit more peaceful and secluded go to Platja d’es Codolar. This compact beach is located between limestone cliffs and has breathtaking panoramic views to the Mediterranean Sea. There is no facilities here so please bring your own snacks and drinks you might need.

Calella de Palafrugell

Calella de Palafrugell is a town situated on the Costa Brava, about 125 km northeast of Barcelona. The village has many stunning beaches and each one has its own personality.

Playa Port Bo

Playa port Bo, situated in Calella de Palafrugell, is the most important beach in the area and it is praised for its blue waters and characteristic fishing boats. This sandy beach is flanked by picturesque whitewashed houses and is very laid back. There are also some local restaurants and cafes not far away in which you can taste a mouthwatering local dish.

Playa El Golfet

If you are feeling adventurous it would be the perfect day to head over to Playa El Golfet. Only accessible on foot via a stunning coastal path is this tiny, secluded beach. Although a bit more involved to get to, it’s a whole lot worth it. There, you’ll find untainted waters, unconquered nature, and quietness remote distant from the crowds.

Sant Pol de Mar

Sant pol de mar, some 49 kilometers northeast of Barcelona is a lesser known coastal town that rewards visitors to a quieter beach experience.

Platja Dels Pescadors

Platja Dels Pescadors, el port de Sant Pol de Mar, es una encantadora playa de árido balizado junto a la que éstas acogen su glorioso palmera y monocled pecadores por encima de iglesia blanca. The shallow waters and small waves here make it suitable for the little ones with their families. There are many beachfront seafood restaurants were you can taste the delicious seafood.

Platja de les Escaletes

For a more secluded beach vibe, go to Platja de les Escaletes. This little beach is hidden away between rocks and provides a quiet hideaway. Note that there are no facilities at this beach so be sure to bring whatever you need for a day at the beach.

Blanes

Blanes, just about 75 kilometers northeast of Barcelona, is a very lively coastal town famous for its colourful botanical gardens and wide beaches.

Platja de S’Abanell

La Platja de S’Abanell es la principal playa en Blanes y abarca también más de 2 kilómetros, por lo que es también una de las playas más largas de la Costa Brava. This sandy beach has all the facilities that are needed with beach bars, restaurants and boat hire facilities. And its location near the village centre means you are never too far away from a chilled drink or a bite to eat.

Platja de Santa Cristina

If you are seeking a more laid-back and less crowded beach, head on over to Platja de Santa Cristina. This beach is nestled between two rocky shores and is peaceful in nature. Worth discovering as well is the picturesque surroundings, especially where to behold it – the magical Santa Cristina Hermitage perched on top of a hill.
