The Duomo, the bell tower, the remnants of the Castle, as well as the magnificent alleys with a medieval ambience in the Sicilian-Norman style can all be found in Casertavecchia. The Royal Mansion of Caserta, in the northern part of Naples, is a lovely baroque palace with extensive landscapes and a parkland.
This Caserta Free Original Walking Tour is an experience that must be witnessed! Prepare for a day rich in cultural heritage, as well as enjoyment and leisure, as you fully appreciate Caserta’s oldest and most famous architectural works and get the most of the parkland’ open areas. Prepare a filling brunch that you can have during a lunch hour on the gardens’ expansive lawns or at the renowned “large fish pond,” which is perfect for a relaxing and entertaining experience for youngsters. A beautiful walk awaits you to learn about and become excited about the history of the historic Bourbon dynasty.
In this Original Caserta Free Walking Tour, we will stroll to the Royal Palace through “La Flora,” the park outside the Royal Palace, where we will learn about its history and see the outside buildings of the Royal Palace before reaching at the front of the magnificent and beautiful Royal Palace. After this, we’ll explore the chambers of the Bourbon Residence via the great royal staircase, in which you’ll learn numerous mysteries and behind-the-scenes details about this magnificent nineteenth-century existence. We will also have the choice of visiting seasonal and/or regular art shows (modern, contemporary, etc.) before heading to the parks. I recommend that you use the shuttle service (which costs € 1) to reach to the top of the Diana and Actaeon Fountains, which will enable us to capture stunning “postcard” shots with the most spectacular view of the city. After that, we’ll go to the well-known English pub.

In this free walking tour, we’ll make a decision together if you want to take the shuttle back to the Royal Palace departure or stroll down a hill along all the fountains, discovering their significance and heritage one by one, through such a light, soothing, and outstanding walk; and taking gorgeous panorama pictures from various points of view. We have always advocated seeing the Royal Palace of Caserta in a single day, from early morning to 9:30 p.m., with several pauses, including the lunch break, and in a very pleasant manner, but the tour can also be split into two days. If you have a specific need, please do not hesitate to contact us; we will be pleased to accommodate you!
