The little city of Reus is one of the most culturally active towns in Catalonia, the town is bathed in rich history and has had its own share of continental attention. Known for its production of tasty wines and spirits, Reus gained attention in the 1860s during the time of the phylloxera plague in Europe. We cannot fail to mention that Reus is also the birthplace of the greatest exponent of Catalan modernism, Spanish architect Gaudi.

Other than being the birthplace of Gaudi, Reus has a lot more to offer. The city center is beautified by stunning architecture and cute dainty little shops. The glorious Plaza de prim looks more sophisticated and majestic than what you’ll find in the photos.

  • Follow the footsteps of the greatest exponent of Catalan modernism to his birthplace, his baptism spot, and the vibrant Gaudi center named after him.
  • Experience the bubbling life this little town has to offer as you trace back the history that is trapped within its walls.
  • Explore the Plaza and the modernist buildings that make this town every architect’s favorite.
