If you are planning a trip to Madrid, Spain, you’ll find that you have a treat in front of you if its planned. Three days is enough time to give you the opportunity to explore everything that is to offer when it comes to Madrid. I have a detailed itinerary of how to spend an ideal day down here.

Day 1: Explore the Historical Center

Explore Madríd’s historical center, which is also called Madrid de los Austrias and start your first day. It’s a crowded narrow street and plaza area with significant landmarks.

  1. Visit the Royal Palace

When you begin a day with a visit to Madrid’s most iconic landmark, the Royal Palace. The palace is an architectural gem with a flawless combination of art and architecture. Spanning over 65,000 sq.ft spread over 70 rooms, 122 metres in length, and five storeys high at its highest, tour the history of this landmark and marvel at its opulent interiors taking a guided tour.

Mercado de San Miguel is a famous food market to visit at the end of your day. Have some tapas and taste a great number of Spanish delicacies. It is the perfect place to taste the local cuisine and even experience all the culinary delights of Madrid.

Day 2: Discover Art and Culture

So on your second day, enjoy the splendid art and culture scene of Madrid. World class museums and wonderful art galleries lie in the city.
