Here I present you Budapest – the bewitching capital of Hungary and certainly of one of the most beautiful state of Europe. Hy history, good food, and beautiful architecture, anyone who will visit Budapest is not going to be disappointed. This article will provide useful tips on how to make your three day trip enjoyable and fulfilling in this amazing city.
Day 1: Exploring the Historic Side of Budapest
The first place to visit is the Buda Castle which is situated on a hill and gives an excellent view over Budapest. Visit magnificent buildings, historic and modern museums, and galleries.
After this, proceed to the most famous site of Budapest which is the Chain Bridge that joins Buda and Pest parts of the city. The relaxing walk across the bridge gives an opportunity to capture magnificent views of the Danube River and the magnificent Austrian Parliament Building.
After this, do not leave without stopping to take a look at the Fisherman’s Bastion. It has an appearance of a fairytale through its structure and is also one of the best places to take amazing photos for Instagram.
To end up the first day in Hungary, I recommend taking a dip in the thermal baths which is common to Budapest’s culture. Attend the beautiful Szechenyi Thermal Bath and enjoy its curative waters.
Day 2: Immersing in Culture and Cuisine
What tourists should do first upon arriving is a visit to the Great Market Hall. This is a food challenge point, where the variety of good, fresh food being sold ranges from Hungarian cuisine to a variety of other foods.
Subsequently, one can go to the Kossuth Lajos tér which is a large pedestrian square with statues of great Hungarian figures. Visit generally the Musee d’art to check on the large collection of fine arts from Europe.
As for lunch, merely go to any of the nice restaurants around to enjoy a Hungarian type of meal. You should not leave Hungary without taste traditional Hungarian goulash, which is a beef soup, and actually Hungary’s most famous dish.
In the afternoon, cruise on the famous Danube River, a relaxing and fun activity in which you have to take part in while visiting Vienna. Explore such magnificent zones of Budapest as the Parliament Building, Budapest Eye, and the Shoes on the Danube Bank.
During the evenings, head out to the Ruin Bars which are situated in the Jewish area of the city. These bars are located in decaying buildings, yet they provide a rather colourful ambiance and its inhabitants are both diverse and fascinating.
Day 3: Uncovering Hidden Gems
Start your last day with the visit of the St. Stephen’s Basilica which has immeasurable look. I encourage all to download it and take the elevator to the top in order to witness the stunning view of the city.
Secondly, visit the District VII that is commonly referred to as the Jewish district. They are the street art, modern and hip coffee shops, antiques shops, and the Great Synagogue which is the largest synagogues across the European continent.
For lunch, go to the Central Market Hall, which will be a paradise for every gourmet. This way visit some places where you can taste Hungarian snacks and buy some food to bring it home under condition.
In the afternoon, released from the city’s noise and crowds, take a visit to Margitsziget, Margaret Island. It has well amazing gardens, bike tracks and other fun activities and is located at the middle of the Danube River.
In the evening occupy yourself with the classical concerts in the Palace of Arts or the Vigado Concert Hall. This last night in Budapest people are up to spend for the experimental possession of music, as the city has lively music scene.
