Barcelona Getting Around & Transportation
When you’re familiar with a big city but also know of the language and culture can be quite intimidating – pretty scary – when you’re coming to a new city and you don’t know the language. Barcelona on the other hand, has one of the best, easiest to use transport systems of any big city. As Europe’s fourth most visited city tourists crowd public transport, one it is one of the quickest and economical methods of travel. You can actually just use it to air conditioning on a hot day! There are a few means to get around:
Barcelona Metro
Barcelona’s metro was launched in 1863 and handles 412 million a year. From 12 lines and 180 stations, you’re never too far from a metro station – so it’s the go-to transport for both locals and tourists. Trains usually run every 2 – 5 minutes, making travel swift, convenient and comfortable.

Rodalies Barcelona’s Commuter Train
The city’s commuter train network is called Rodalies, and offers fast, convenient services across the city. Most of the important stations around the city are part of this network – and among them we have the major central stations of Placa Catalunya, Espanya, Passeig de Gracia, Arc de Triomf and Sants. The trains aren’t as frequent as the metro – you could be waiting about 30 minutes or more for another train so check theAlways check the timetable.

Barcelona Bus & Tram
Barcelona is covered by a fleet of over 1,000 buses, and they have reached every part of the city. Whilst travelling may take a little longer, it are usually a lot more comfortable to be had. All buses are indoor and generally have a ton of seats and then you connect normally more direct than the metro. Barcelona also has 3 modern tram lines, part of the city’s transport network and links previously most difficult parts of the city.

Barcelona By Bike
Spain’s cycling infrastructure has received millions of euros spend over the last 5 years, positioning the Catalan capital as one of the leading cycling cities in Europe. Around the city you will see state-owned Bicing bikes, but these being for locals only. But don’t worry, the city has a thriving bike rental service so you can hire a bike for just 12 euros a day. Also the city’s fine weather and bike paths, so cycling is a true must-to-be-seen! Lookout, be careful with your bike theft though—always lock up good and tight!

Barcelona’s Taxi
Unfortunately there is no Uber vegas magdalena due to a legal issue but don’t worry – taxis are plentiful through the city and are a speed, comfort and affordable way to get around. All local taxis throughout the city have green and red lights on them so if you can see green it’s available, and most taxi’s have a few words of English which makes it the most popular choice with tourists.
