Meet me outside the Gate No 1 of “Lal Quila” metro station, after a quick briefing about the historical spots to be explored, we start walking, Soon we will pass through the twin temples of “Red Temple”, a Jain minority sect temple & “Shiva Temple”, a Hindu temple. Soon a “Sikh” temple will emerge in front of your eyes with its huge Gold plated dome.

On the opposite side is standing a British-era Church with a functioning missionary school.

Now we are entering an enormous jewellery market known as “Dariba Kalan” selling handcrafted jewels and precious stones. We then take a right turn and enter “Parantawali Gali” (bread-makers alley) be amazed to watch bread of different enormous sizes for sale and being devoured by the food buffs, it is said that no one can finish off a single bread completely due to its size and richness. Adjacent to it is a complex of Mughal era mansions known as “Nau Ghara” literally meaning 09 homes. The descendants of the erstwhile merchant families still live here and continue their hereditary mercantile business of clothes and apparel. A very good spot for doing photography besides the giant old gateways and wooden doors.

Now we are entering Most haveli of this place “Mirza Ghalib haveli”, who was a noted Mughal courtier and a poet. We will walk past the last point “Chunamal ki haveli”.

Spice Market: We shall walk towards the largest spice hub of Asia! and it is known as “Khari Baoli”. Be amazed to see the bustling bazaar full of colourful spices and the merchant shops.

Finally, we are landing on the giant stairs and steps of “Jama Mosque”, for photostop only, it is the biggest mosque of India built by the creator of Taj Mahal ” The Shah Jahan”. OPTIONAL : We can take a short rickshaw ride to reach the mosque, costing only INR 30 Per Person, it shall save time and labour.

After visiting the mosque our Rickshaw i will drop you back at the “Lal Quila” metro station to conclude the tour.
